Day 1
drive, drive, drive.
the first 4 hours is the easiest part.
we caught up on 2 weeks of stories the whole time.
driving through the majave desert is the hardest.
took interstate-15 all the way south.
took a little detour to a ghost town called calico.
apparently it's historic
and very quiet
making it a bit eerie.
we got in for free.
we navigated via a 2004 paper atlas.
no siri for us.
i drove the whole way,
adventuring for about 12 hours.
